How can clients receive Fast Cash Advance?

Taxpayers may receive the Fast Cash Advance1 by cashier's check, direct deposit or Green Dot® Prepaid Visa® Card2.

Taxpayers that receive a Green Dot card will receive a personalized card in the mail. Funds for the advance amount will be deposited to the taxpayer’s account upon loan approval. Remaining tax refund proceeds will be deposited to the taxpayer's account upon IRS and/or state funding. Taxpayers may install and use the Green Dot app to access funds before the personalized card is received.

Taxpayers that ask to receive their money by cashier's check must return to your office to pick up a cashier's check which is printed at the tax professional's office. Remaining tax refund proceeds will be issued by a check printed out of the tax professional's office upon IRS and/or state funding.

Taxpayers that request direct deposit will receive funds in their bank account within 1-2 business days of loan approval. 

 

Personalized Card

Qualified taxpayers will receive a personalized Green Dot card in the name of the primary taxpayer and mailed to the residence of qualified taxpayers. 

How can a taxpayer that chooses Green Dot access funds without incurring any fees?

There is no fee for the first ATM withdrawal in a calendar month.

Do I have to request Green Dot?

To offer Green Dot cards, tax professionals must opt-in to the Green Dot card program from our website.
