Referral payments are paid to qualified tax professionals when taxpayer referral(s) pay Community Tax for tax tax debt resolution services. Fees may be collected from taxpayers monthly if payment plans are needed, and the referral payment is paid to the qualified tax professional the following month.1
How often are payments made?
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group (sbtpg) issues payments to qualified tax professionals via direct deposit once a month.
How to qualify for referral payments
A referral payment is issued when both of these requirements are met:
- The taxpayer referral includes all required fields and the referral was submitted through our website (either the English or Spanish referral pages or from our post-login referral page)
- Community Tax receives payment(s) from the taxpayer referral during the previous month
Preferred method for submitting referrals
Login to our website, navigate to Programs, select the Tax Debt Resolution program and select the "Submit Referrals" button to refer clients to our Community Tax partner for tax debt resolution services. Find more information here about submitting taxpayer referrals.
Tracking your payments
Track your referral payments by logging in to our website, navigating to the Reports page and viewing the Deposit Detail report.
